Currently in my book "Rosa Parks: My Story" , Rosa Parks described her life and how her family have dealt with racism all throughout their lives. Also, how she had an encounter where a white boy told her that he was going to hit her and she stood up for herself and said if he hits her then she was gonna hit him. Also, the struggles of her walking to school and how many schools she went to, which wasn't too many. She learned from her grandmother that she couldn't say anything back to the white folks if they had disrespected her because that is possible jail time or being lynched.
The events in my book relate to current day things such as the Black Lives Movement. The movement was like the Civil Rights Movement, it was to declare justice for those who died with for a unknown reason by white police officers. Also, to let people know how much African American lives matter as much as Caucasian lives or any other races lives. It can also relate to police brutality and the government. For a long time, white police officers have treated blacks like nothing. They would send dogs, put gas out, pepper spray, and even tased people. The government wasn't no good back then either. Blacks and whites segregated but, now everyone goes to the same school but, racism is still a problem even now.
